When designing an addition to a historic house in Maine, architect Dominic Mercadante created this inviting entrance which reveals the old house and also provides a beautiful patio to enjoy the views and the sunlight. The French doors open wide and wonderful vistas are visible from inside. Transom windows and sidelights add to the sense of transparency and bring in abundant sunlight. Norumbega granite stone begins on the patio and continues in to the floor of the entryway which features a coffered ceiling. The red French doors are a nice touch of color, and the overall space is warm and welcoming.

Very nice, but is that a real photo or a CAD image?
