Height of blocking between studs…

Hi folks!
When you install blocking between studs to facilitate the installation of towel racks, medicine cabinets, kitchen cabinets, etc., what guidelines to you go by to determine how high off the floor the blocking is positioned?
As always, THANKS!

Wherever the homeowner feels most comfortable having it. I have the HO (woman, most often) stand and point to the exact location of each item. I mark the spot and take a photo.
If they have no preference, I stand there and wherever is most comfortable for me, I mark it.
For cabinets above the toilet, I add 2x8s for about 2-3 feet above, just to ensure there's enough meat.
For the medicine cabinet, it depends on the backsplash and how tall the woman is. I've installed mirrors where I couldn't see the top of my head, but that's where she wanted it. Just have the vanity lights and medicine cabinet on hand before you set your locations, some of those lights hang down and can interfere with the cabinet door.

Speaking of mirrors and not seeing hte top of your head. I HATE THAT, and people will hang hall mirrors and mirrors in other places that I like that. What the Heck are they thinking! What good is that mirror?
I think there are decorating rules for this stuff and I am sure you are not supposed to hang a mirror and knee level!
For a housewarming gift, give them a lovely sign they can hang over their door: Welcome to Munchkin Land.

It is always easier to bend down when needed then drag out a step stool.
Well, then for the love of pete get a taller mirror. It does not have to be that big of a mirror to accomadate a 5' 2" woman and a 6' 2" man. An 18 " mirror should be able to accomadate both unless you hang it at knee level. LOL!
For towel racks, I surround the bathroom with 2x8 blocking, centered at 48" from the finished floor.

You should see if you can get a copy interior design and graphic standards. Lot's of usefull information that comes in handy for these questions. There are typical dimensions in there for just about anything and everything. They have mastered the ergonomics for you, so no need to guess.
