We wanted to raise our existing dryer, and found a base at a rummage sale for some dryer or other. It’s shallower than our dryer, so I’m putting a plywood top on it, and planning to add back feet, one in each back corner consisting of a pipe flange screwed into the ply, a nipple the right length capped off somehow, and heavy-duty adjustable feet tapped into the “capped off somehow.”
I’m trying to decide whether a pipe cap has enough thickness to handle the adjustable feet, or whether I should use a pipe coupling and plug. Opinions?
Or, for that matter, simpler suggestions that don’t involve buying a new dryer?

How much is the over hang? do you really need "feet" to reach the floor. Dryers are on the light side.
But I would only use some pieces cut from the 3/4" plywood to make the legs.
Put a clothes line out from under the shade tree.
No, seriously. Just build a ply box 2" larger than your dryer, and as high as you want, and put strips of ply around the edge so it won't "dance" off. Could put a couple of angle brackets screwed to the floor and to the box so it won't move and damage the floor.
We do have a clothes line, but it's hard to get the clothes dry that way on days when we get 4" of rain in 24 hours (averaged 1/2" rain/day this month).
The ply box was a possibility, but this $4-5 (can't remember) thingie was quicker. I think.
I think the cap would be thick enough. When you drill the hole in the cap, you'll be able to check the thickness. You could just cut the pipe to the correct length.
