Installing ZIP System Sheathing: Sealing Penetrations
In this Shop Class video, Ben Bogie demonstrates 3 easy ways to seal around pipes and wires using ZIP System flashing tape, stretch tape, and liquid-applied flashing.
Nearly every home-building project is going to have plumbing, HVAC, or electrical lines that penetrate the sheathing. These need to be sealed up properly to ensure the home has a good air barrier and is weathertight. Here Ben Bogie shows how to quickly and reliably wrap any of these pipes or wires using the various flashing products in the ZIP System line, including standard flashing tape, stretch tape, and liquid-applied flashing. Watch this episode of Shop Class to see the whole process.
