If you like good hardware you will LOVE Accurate’s Full Mortise Hardware Locks. I’ve installed a lot of pocket doors in my career, but these doors I installed recently with this hardware are by far the most satisfying. They are expensive and worth it! Special thanks to Webber + Studio Architecture who specified these for the remodel project we completed together. The sliding door hardware is by Hafele and is the HAWA Junior model. This combination makes for the best available pocket door system I’ve ever experienced.
Best,

Matt,
Hardware for pocket doors has always been the weak link, IMHO. It doesn't seem to matter how classy the door itself may be, the hardware always makes them look hinky. Thanks for sharing this info; I hope I can convince clients that the extra cost is money well spent.
I can't tell for sure from the photos or hardware links: is this hardware available for 1 3/8" thick doors? I assume from the pictures of an interior door that they would be 1 3/8" thick but they kind of look thicker.
Regards,
Matt Jackson
Thanks Matt! These doors in the pictures are standard 1 3/8" thick doors. Do your best to convince your clients on the extra for this hardware. In my experience, I've always had clients be happy about extra money spent on hardware upgrade. I've had clients regret extra money spent on fancy lighting or controls, and I've had clients be upset that they didn't upgrade hardware, but solid smooth hardware is always a winner!
Best, Matt
I picked up some emtek hardware for a client that's very similar to this. Going to install it tomorrow but have no flipping clue how I'm going to make the deep edge mortise. Long shot you will see this tonight and give me some pointers. Either way would love to know how you do it.
