Design solutions for the home work best when they get back to basics and solve a common problem at a reasonable cost. This design for a sink is just such a case, by incorporating the drain board into the sink rather than having a board rest on the counter, it eliminates that nagging wet spot found at the edge of the sink. Many cast iron sinks from the 50’s used this same fool-proof method.

Who makes the one pictured?
The manufacturer is Blanco.
And the porcelainized steel one-piece sink/countertops had the drain grooves built right in.
They can still be had in stainless steel.
