The entrance to this new student housing building is marked with tall red portico and custom gates suggesting building’s name, The New Sequoia. The façade is a composition of stucco and cement, with color accents to break the mass into parts that reflect the program within. The building shell is further refined by a rhythm of solar shading devices around the windows and a combination of metal and wood-slatted awnings above the storefronts.
