Sometimes important details are difficult to portray well in photos. I get uneasy if the architectural lines are not perfectly straight, and if a wide angle lens is needed, I will have to deal with distortion. By bringing in a sense of scale with someone’s hands, I can create an image that shows off the custom-built details and is also an interesting composition. I kept the horizontal lines straight in this shot and included both hands since the drawer took up the entire frame. I dream of the day when my kitchen is this organized and beautiful!
