Designing for a pre-teens room provides its own specific challenges. This desk area was set up to grow with the owners changing needs. Originally the shelf height was set up to accommodate a collection of American Girl Dolls, but looking ahead the shelves and spaces are movable and now hold an age appropriate book collection.
Of course there will always be room for some of the old collection at the top of the bookcase.
