Water-Free Tile Saw

The iQ Power Tools tile saw cuts dry, with an integrated dust-collection system that also cools the blade.

By Patrick McCombe Issue 289 - Feb/Mar 2020

Using a conventional wet saw in cold conditions has to be one of life’s most miserable experiences. Even in good weather, keeping the site safe from the sludgy slurry is a huge pain. When I saw the iQ Power Tools iQTS244 tile saw while walking the show floor, I stopped dead in my tracks. It doesn’t use water; instead, its 10-in. blade cuts dry and an on-board dustcollection system sucks up the particles. The stream of air that collects the dust also helps cool the dry-cutting blade. An optional miter attachment ($150) allows beveled cuts and an add-on extension table ($250) boosts cut capacity to 48 in.

  •  Includes roll-around stand
  • Maximum cut: 24-in. rip, 18-in. diagonal
  • $1740
